It is March 2020 already and this is my first blog post for the year.
2020 has started at a huge and hectic pace and hasn’t let up since.
Early January saw me in the Philippines visiting family friends and working with NGO’s (non-government organizations) with my daughter.
During this period I made a presentation on Asset Management to the Central Philippines University (CPU) College of Engineering, which was an enjoyable experience.
We received a very warm welcome from the CPU President, Dr. Teodoro Robles, Dean of Engineering Dany Molina, and Civil Engineering Department Head, Mary Earl Daryl Grio.
We will publish more about my lecture at CPU on a separate post.
Mid-January, I attended the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Conference in Washington DC and visited with my colleague Heather Himmelberger in New Mexico.
I managed to be involved in two presentations during this period, one in Washington, and an ‘Ask-the-Experts’ webinar with Heather.
The recording of this asset management webinar will be featured here soon.
Late January and February, I visited client projects around New Zealand and assisted clients as they progress their mandated 30-year Infrastructure Strategies and Asset Management Plans.
Continuing International and New Zealand consulting projects are keeping me very busy.
These projects are also developing some very interesting results, which I hope to share with you all in the near future
The past three months have seen my involvement in several projects with Inframanage.com contributors, which always makes for an enjoyable project.
As 2020 progresses we plan to regularly post blog posts, video blogs, presentation recordings and links to valuable resources, so please watch out for that.
