For those of you who follow this blog, you will have realized that it has been a slow start to the year for the blog.
Here in New Zealand, January is the month of our summer vacations, and this year it was coupled with some family celebrations that saw the month disappear.
During February we were undertaking a range of background activities on the site to improve security and get the site ready for planned developments over the next year. That is now completed.
This is the first blog post of 2017. We have prepared a number of posts from lectures I did last year at Auckland University and these will be published over the next month.
Based on the thinking outlined in these lectures I am also preparing posts around infrastructure waves, and their impact on our infrastructure management planning. I am sure you, our readers, will find this interesting.
2017 is promising to be a very interesting year for infrastructure management. We are monitoring news and activities and will give commentary throughout the year.
We are looking forward to continued interaction with our readers, and to providing information that assists you in your infrastructure asset management work and analysis.
